Hello, it’s nice to meet you. Can you introduce yourself a little?
Hi, my name is Julia. I’m currently a third-year, second-semester student here at SolBridge. I also work as a Research Assistant (RA) in the SolBridge Startup Center and serve as the president of the Startup Club.

How did you find out about the Career Lounge?
This is actually my third time participating in the SolBridge Career Lounge. I found out about this year’s event through an email notification, and I registered as soon as I saw it. It was a very convenient and well-organized experience.

What were your expectations before coming to the job fair?
My expectations were definitely met. I was hoping to see some companies and have the chance to interview with them. One interesting addition this year was the professional photoshoot for CV pictures. In fact, I was the first person to do it! It was a great experience—they provided the photos free of charge and followed the professional Korean style with a blue background and high-quality editing.

How many companies did you interview with?
I only interviewed with one company, as most of the others were looking for marketing specialists. I’m more interested in the startup industry, so I applied to a startup accelerator, which better aligns with my experience and interests. A startup accelerator is typically a government-sponsored organization that supports new startups by investing in them, connecting them with companies, and providing education in the field. It’s very similar to what we’re trying to do at the SolBridge Startup Center—helping students launch their businesses, sending them to competitions, and building valuable networks.

What did you think of this year’s Career Lounge overall? Did you find it helpful?
Yes, absolutely. When I attended as a second-year student, it was more about gaining experience. But this time, I felt the companies took me more seriously since I only have one year left before graduation. One important aspect was that the entire interview was conducted in Korean, and one of the first questions they asked was whether I speak Korean and if I have a TOPIK certification. So studying the language is crucial.

Would you recommend other students to participate in job fairs like this?
Oh, for sure! While you’re still in university, you have so many opportunities to meet with companies, receive feedback, and get advice on how to improve your skills. It’s definitely a valuable experience for me.
