Seoul, South Korea – May 21 & 22, 2025 — The 2025 Asian Leadership Conference (ALC) wrapped up this Thursday after two exciting days of discussions, shared ideas, and networking at The Shilla Hotel in Seoul. Organized by The Chosun Ilbo, Korea’s largest and most trusted media institution, the annual event brought together top political figures, global business leaders, and leading academics to address some of the world’s biggest challenges.

At SolBridge International School of Business, we were honored to have a group of our students attend the conference, gaining fresh insights from industry experts and global changemakers. This unique opportunity allowed our students to step beyond the classroom and engage directly in real-world conversations about leadership, innovation, and international cooperation.

A Gathering of Global Visionaries
The conference welcomed more than 300 distinguished leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and academics from around the world. We were privileged to hear from influential speakers such as University of Chicago Professor James A. Robinson, and Thailand’s Move Forward Party Leader Pita Limjaroenrat, among many others.

Their insights on sustainable development, regional cooperation, innovation, and inclusive growth deeply resonated with us and further aligned with SolBridge’s mission to develop future leaders equipped for Asia’s dynamic growth.

Attending the ALC opened my eyes to how leaders tackle real global challenges. One of the most memorable moments was meeting Toa Dunn, former Head of Riot Games Music at Riot Games. With over a decade of experience building culturally relevant moments in the video game industry, his insights on storytelling, creativity, and global influence were truly inspiring.” --, Laura Souto Ribeiro Tabuse, SolBridge BBA Student

A Transformative Student Experience
For many SolBridge students, the 2025 ALC was more than just a conference, it was a transformative learning experience. Engaging with real-time discussions on pressing global issues helped bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application. From panel sessions and keynote speeches to informal networking moments, students had the chance to ask questions, share perspectives, and build connections with global leaders and fellow future changemakers.

“This experience truly broadened my horizons,” said BBA student Seungmin Park. “It was empowering to see how ideas discussed in our courses are being applied to solve real challenges and even more exciting to know we could be part of those solutions someday.”

By stepping into this global forum, students not only absorbed new ideas but also gained confidence in their ability to contribute meaningfully to international discussions. Events like the ALC exemplify SolBridge’s commitment to student-centered, experience-driven learning, where academic growth is complemented by exposure to leadership in action.

Our Gratitude to The Chosun Ilbo.

The choice of Seoul as the conference venue perfectly matched the event’s forward-looking spirit. As a city that beautifully integrates technological innovation with rich cultural heritage, Seoul inspired all attendees to think boldly about Asia’s future.
