John Edgar Endicott, Ph.D. August 9, 1936 - June 22, 2024

The Woosong family is saddened by the passing of Dr. John E. Endicott – a pillar of the SolBridge and Woosong Community. In 2007, he joined Woosong University to serve as the President of the university.  He established SolBridge International School of Business and served as an important figure in the development and growth of SolBridge – taking the position as Vice Chancellor, President, and at one point also serving as the Dean. In recognition of his contributions, the Endicott College of International Studies was established and named after him.

John Endicott was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1936, and after graduating from Ohio State University, he served in the Air Force for many years and received several awards including the Defense Superior Service Medal, Bronze Star, and Legion of Merit Medal (amongst others). He earned his Ph.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy of Tufts University in cooperation with Harvard University. His work on the Limited Nuclear Weapons-Free Zone in Northeast Asia (LNWFZ-NEA) earned him two nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 and 2009.

Woosong University is honored to have been guided and led by such an inspirational leader. He will be dearly missed.
