The Global Age and Korean Business Insight: Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Convergence Strategies

On 25-29 June 2012, SolBridge International School of Business, Woosong University in cooperation with Pan Pacific Business Association will be hosting the Global Entrepreneurship Forum for Young Asian Thought Leaders Program. The theme of this forum is The Global Age and Korean Business Insight: Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Convergence Strategies. Two prominent figures: Prof. Sang M. Lee, President of Pan Pacific Business Association and University Eminent Professor, University of Nebraska, USA as well as Prof. Prasad Padmanabhan, Myra Stafford Pryor Chair of Free Enterprise, Sam Walton Fellow. St. Mart’s Bill Greehey School of Business, USA will be scheduled to give a talk during the forum.

This forum will be also attended by students and faculty members from universities from ASEAN member countries as well as Japan, China, and South Korea. Among those universities are Universitas Ciputra, Institut Manajemen TELKOM, Universitas Islam Indonesia,  Indonesia; Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; Bangkok University, Thailand; Kansai Gaidai University, Japan; and Ho Chi Minh University of Economics, Vietnam. There will be 16 papers related to Innovation; Entrepreneurship, and Convergence Strategies to be presented during the forum. Two of the papers will be presented by current SolBridge students, Le Vu from Vietnam and Ju-seung “Daniel” from South Korea.

The objectives of the forum are to create a global network among young leaders in ASEAN + 3 countries, to create a global network among young leaders in ASEAN +3 countries, to learn about new developments in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Convergence Strategies as well as to learn about the Korean insight on competitive global strategies.

Besides paper presentation, the participants will also have an opportunity to visit Samsung Delight and some cultural sites in Seoul like Kyongbok Palace and Seoul Tower. At the end of the program, all participants will go to World Expo 2012 in Yeosu.
