  • SolBridge Summer Camp 2019">SolBridge Summer Camp 2019

     From 8th -29th July 2019 SolBridgehosted over 200 high schoolers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam,Turkey and USA for a 3-week summer language and culture immersion program. Thestudents were enthusiastically absorbed in the English and Korean languageclasses.  Besides language classes, they attended technology,culinary and life classes including international first aid training andexperimenting with drones. The camp presented an opportunity for students toexplore a new country and culture through social activities like wearingKorea’s traditional dress, participating in traditional tea ceremony, K-popdance practice and Taekwondo classes. Dedicated to creating an exciting Korean experience,participants had excursions to famous tourist attractions in and outside ofDaejeon including Lotte world, Seoul Tower and Daejeon O-world. The camp alsogave students a glimpse into life at SolBridge through their interaction withSolBridge students.  The program was concluded with final presentations and aclosing ceremony where the winners received admission scholarships to joinSolBridge upon completion of their high school studies.

      This month we would like to recognizeSolBridge alumna Polina Kriuchkova from Russia. Polina is the Account Manager& Design Lead at G3 Partners ( a Seoul-based marketingand PR agency purposed to help Korean startups expand overseas as well assupporting corporations with their innovation initiatives. In her role as,Polina manages the companies design-related projects as well as tasks relatedto data analytics, marketing strategy, and market research. Polina’s journey at SolBridge started inAugust 2011 when she joined to study as part of the ‘Far East Transport StateUniversity Transfer Bachelor program’. After graduating in 2013, she decided toenrol for the 2-year full-time master’s degree at SolBridge majoring inInternational Business.Immediatelyafter graduation, she joined a Seoul-based startup where she developed a keeninterest and connection with the Korean startup ecosystem 


  • Deusto Business School students visit SolBridge">Deusto Business School students visit SolBridge

     From June 29th to July 6th, 2019, SolBridge International School of Business hosted a group of 25 students from Deusto Business School, University of Deusto, Spain, for a 10-day Korean study tour. While pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Business Skills diploma back home, students took a series of lectures on Korean economic development and learned about the Korean miracle story. Lectures exposed students to the history and rapid economic growth of Korea, artificial intelligence, business negotiation in Korean conglomerates as well as data analysis. Besides the academic agenda, Deusto students visited three leading Korean companies in their respective field of industry, including cosmetic giant Amore Pacific, the Korean Ginseng Corporation (KGC), and the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI). Amore Pacific owns 33 different cosmetic brands and was listed as one of the world's most innovative companies in the 2015 Forbes ranking, while KGC CheongKwanJang brand owns the world's largest market share in red ginseng production. The visit of Korean Ginseng Corporation was an opportunity for students to see how technology and human knowledge work hand in hand for the selection of roots producing the best quality of ginseng and ginseng health-related products. Located in the heart of Korea’s Silicon Valley, ETRI is mostly famous for launching in 2012 the instant translation application Genie Talk, which is said to have a 15% more accurate translation than Google Translate. Genie Talk has notably been used for the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon and the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, and nowadays provides text and imagery translation services in 29 languages. Throughout the programme, students got to experience the tea ceremony and the wearing of traditional Korean dress hanbok, and visited Seoul's main cultural landmarks such as Gyeonbokgung Palace and Insa-dong. Watch the video to hear about participants experience.

  • New Academic Partnership with KEDGE Business School, France">New Academic Partnership with KEDGE Business School, France

     SolBridge is pleased to announce the recent signing of a dual degree agreement at the Bachelor level with KEDGE Business School, France. With this 2+2 program, BBA students from both institutions will have the opportunity to spend two years at the partner institution and graduate with both degrees from France and Korea. KEDGE Business School ranks among the top 10 business schools in France and has mainly developed strong expertise in Entrepreneurship. Supported and hosted by KEDGE Business School, student-run consulting firm Market Mediterrannee has received numerous national and European awards over the years and helped build new Junior Entreprises in diverse countries such as Taiwan or Senegal.      From 15th to 22nd June 2019, SolBridge welcomed a diverse group of Executive MBA students from United States International University- Africa for Global Business Executive Training. The executives originating from Kenya, USA, Israel, Canada, South Sudan, Congo and Nigeria hold key positions in different industries. In addition to the lectures provided by SolBridge professors, participants had industrial visits to KIA automobile and  Korea Tomorrow and Global Corporation (KT & G) South Korea’s Leading automobile manufacture and Tobacco company respectively. The company visits availed them an opportunity to witness how automation and robotics are applied in the manufacturing industry. Many of them visiting Korea for the first time were fascinated by Korea’s fast development and the level of automation. Throughout the program, participants experienced Korean culture and history through visits to  Korea’s cultural landmarks like Gyeonbokgung; engaging in cultural activities including Korean Tea ceremony and wearing the Hanbok, Korea’s traditional dress; and tasting Korea’s cuisine.
