BBA Valedictorian congratulatory remarks during the Fall 2022 commencement ceremony.

Good morning professors, friends, families, and all the loved ones gathering today. Especially, graduating class of Fall 2022, congratulations, we made it.

Four years ago, we all decided to leave our home countries to come to South Korea, a brand new country in search of great knowledge and life experience. And I hope we all have fulfilled the dreams and aspirations that we brought with us to SolBridge as now we are leaving this school with even bigger goals.

Never in my life had I imagined myself being immersed in such a culturally diverse environment like SolBridge. During my journey, I made many friends from different backgrounds and met so many Professors without whose help I wouldn’t be here today. They have humbled me with their wisdom and taught me to be a more open-minded person with the ability to sympathize and treat people of different cultures with more respect. So I want to take a moment to thank Professor Choi from CDC, my friend Hanne, my Vietnamese fellows Ha, Yen, Mai, and Huyen, and my family who unfortunately couldn’t be here today.

We are leaving SolBridge today with the strong will and perseverance to make it big in the time to come. Getting a university degree is not easy and getting a university degree during the global pandemic is definitely a remarkable achievement that we should all be proud of. The future is uncertain but I am sure that we are all geared up for whatever storms life might throw at us. Don’t be afraid to try because it’s better to take a step in the wrong direction than to stay still. So go out there, stumble and become the best version of yourself!

Thank you and keep warm!”
